Cozy Winter Reading

The Hungry Hungry
Wyrm's Book Club

Welcome to our literary hearth. Pull up a chair, steep your favorite blend, and let the stories take flight.

HOW IT WORKS

Each full moon, we choose a featured book — or sometimes a shared theme — to explore together.

There’s no rush here. Read at your own pace throughout the month, then gather with us for a thoughtful, open-ended discussion. This book club is meant to be a sanctuary for the curious — a place for reflection, connection, and shared wonder rather than deadlines or pressure.

When we choose a theme instead of a specific title, you’re invited to select any book that loosely fits and share what drew you to it. Tell us why you chose it, what stayed with you, and how it met you in this season.

Recommendations for future reads or themes are always welcome. This club grows best when it grows together. Press the button at the bottom of this page to visit the blog and participate.

Pull up a chair when you’re ready. We’ll be here.

Monthly Feature: JANUARY

Witch of Wild Things by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland

For our first gathering, I’ve chosen Witch of Wild Things by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland.

I’ll admit — part of the reason for this choice is a practical one. I’d already begun reading it, and January has a way of slipping quietly by. But it also felt like the right book to start with: gentle, curious, and rooted in personal journeys that unfold in their own time.

Read at whatever pace feels right to you. There’s no need to rush or finish by a certain date. I’ll be sharing my reflections here on February’s Snow Moon (February 1st), along with an announcement for our next selection.

For February, I’m leaning toward choosing a theme rather than a specific book, so if you have ideas — or books that feel timely right now — I’d love to hear them.

If you feel like joining me with Witch of Wild Things, I look forward to hearing what you notice, what stays with you, and where the story meets you.
